无上甚深微妙法 百千万劫难遭遇
我今见闻得受持 愿解如来真实义
好，请放掌。
Today we are going to continue With our special topic from last time。
今天我们继续上次所讲的题目。
Why is Buddhism the best？
为什么佛教最棒？
So I Hope That the picture is becoming clearer now。
所以，从上面的叙述，我希望这个整个画面呐是比较清楚了。
that is why no matter how Christian doctrines may have Changed Through ages，In the denominations，But this main doctrine has remained intact。
因此呢，这就是为什么，这个从很久以来啊，这个基督教的这个教义，以及他们的这个不派别呀，虽然都有一些改变，那譬如说，旧教变成新教，然后新教又分化成很多的很多的denominations，就是教派。教派，譬如说，耶稣会、浸信会、长老会、美以美会等等，这些都叫做教派，他们都是有些微的不同啦，但是并没有多大的差别，可是他们就一点一点点东西就变成分裂了。不管他们再怎么样变，就教派啊，或是有一些道理怎么变，但是他们有一样东西是永远不会变的，什么呢？
It got to be，For it is the backbone of Christianity。
一定要这样子，为什么？这一点呢，是基督教的背脊，就是脊椎啊，脊椎 。
Including Judaism and Islamism。
这个不仅是基督教，连犹太教跟回教、伊斯兰也都是这样子。什么呢？
Gods Wrath gods justice，judgment and Punishment，Gods Wrath。
震怒，就是说，人类也或众生如果做了这个耶和华、上帝所不喜欢的事情，他所不允许的事情，尤其是不尊敬他或是不拜他，或是去拜别的，那他就震怒，然后justice称为正义，但是这个正义啊。
the so called justice in Christianityit's the God's justice。
上帝的正义。
所以 It's specially meant The God's justice，So It is kind of self-righteous。
right是正的，righteous是正直，所以，自以为是正直，也就是自以为是，所以这个字就在英文变成就是自以为是的意思，所以这个上帝所说的正义呢，其实是他自己所说，他定的正义，那是不跟别人这个比较的，他自以为是正义就是正义，因为他就是无上的权威，那就是霸道了。好，所以大家研究佛法、学习佛法，要了解其他宗教，才知道我们佛教的宝贵。佛的这个最可贵的，不是佛会震怒，而是佛的慈悲。
 So，the most precious thing in Buddhism is not the wrath of Buddha，but rather，The compassion of the Buddha，the great Compassion of the Buddha。
 所以如来的大悲啊，才是最重要的。而基督教里面是上帝的愤怒是最重要的。所以，基督教徒为什么拜神？为什么乖乖的呢？那都是为了怕神生气、怕神愤怒，惩罚他这样子。但是呢，我们佛教徒就不是了。
So，why do Christians follow the way of God？just because they are fearful of The anger or wrath of god，So，in another way of saying that they are all Intimidated.
那换一句话说，他们都是怎么样？被恫吓的、吓唬的。
So the Christian God teachers by intimidation。
基督教的神是以恫吓为这个传教的手段。
As opposed to the Buddha or Buddhism，the Buddha teaches by compassion。
而佛教育众生呢，是用慈悲。
So，God teaches by intimidation。
上帝以恐吓为教，以恐吓为教，所以呢，诉诸恐怖、诉诸恐惧。Resort to fear。诉诸恐惧。
as opposed to Buddha，Buddha teaches by compassion。
而，这个佛如来以慈悲为教，encouragement鼓励，free from fear令众生免於恐惧，无有恐惧，达到liberation，那这个恐惧，Fear Is the Worst of annoyances，fear 恐惧，fear is the worst of annoences，恐惧是烦恼最糟糕的一种，最坏的一种，一切烦恼的极致就是恐惧，所以人一恐惧，那没有什么烦恼比恐惧还要大，但是上帝给人类的礼物不是免于恐惧，而是加以恐惧，加以恫吓，这样子，所以令人生活在恐惧中。
So，He makes people live in fear all their lives。
他们一生都活在恐惧之中。
So，what kind of life is that？
那是什么样的生活？所以佛菩萨解除众生的痛苦，令众生离苦，最重要就
是要远离恐惧，「无有恐惧，远离颠倒梦想」，对不对？没有恐惧，才没有颠倒梦想，所以。
Fear is the Pinnacle and epitome of Annoyances。
恐惧是烦恼的顶端，也是烦恼的精要，一切烦恼的结晶就是恐惧，一切烦恼的顶端就是恐惧，所以，无有恐惧，然后人就怎么样？就轻松了，对不对？
So，God imposes fear upon all beings。
所以上帝呢，把恐惧加诸于所有的人。
But，Luckily，we have Buddha，Buddha tries to free us try to liberate us from
Fear，from all kinds of fear，from the fear in life and from the fear from the God，and from all kinds of gods or people。
所以，幸亏我们有佛如来、有佛陀，佛陀正好相反，他要令众生去掉一切的恐惧、恐怖，然后，从什么恐怖呢？恐惧就是人生的恐惧，怎么样？人生的恐惧，譬如说生病、贫穷、死亡等等的恐惧，以及神的恐惧，以及邪见的恐惧，佛就要把我们的心中所有的恐惧，全都去掉。如果恐惧去掉了，那么烦恼的主要项目就最严重的就去掉了，最重大的就去掉了。所以《心经》短短两百多字里面就讲「无有恐怖」，「行深般若波罗蜜多，无有恐怖，远离颠倒梦想」，无有恐怖以后，才能远离颠倒梦想。
So，from this discussion，you can know that Buddha is exactly the contrast with God。
所以，你就知道佛跟基督教的神是正好相反，正好针锋相对，一个是要令人解脱，一个是要用他的恐惧，他的权威啊，来压制人，然后令人恐惧，然后就沦於奴役slavery ，所以it's a kind of slavery，ok？
 but Buddha tries to liberate everybody。
但是，这佛如来呢，就反而是要解放、解脱一切众生，令心中都没有任何的忧悲苦恼，这样的，ok。so，所以就知道这个上帝的愤怒，你如果对一个人，你害怕他，那就很不好，人与人之间最好的就是什么？就是你敬爱他，对不对？
Among people，The worst feeling that you have for another person is that，you fear or you are fearful of somebody， But this is bad，The best thing is that you respect and love him，but It is impossible for one who terrifies you，And you still love him and respect him，It's very difficult，It's almost impossible。
但是对于一个他恫吓你的、吓唬你的人，令你恐惧的人，你能够这个爱他又敬他，这是不太可能的。
And only the one or the ones，who help you to be liberated，and to get wisdom，And for those people you will have love，and respect for him，And that is exactly the feelings of Buddhists towards the Buddha。
而这个敬与爱就是正好是佛教徒对佛如来的感觉，那我们绝对不会怕佛，对不对？
 as for Christians，The most.....，the worst thing that they fear is that，they have to face their God，or when the God is coming back，for the judgement。
对于基督徒来讲，他们最害怕的就是神再来，也就是基督再来，再来审判人。
But for Buddhism，the Buddha or Pusas，when They come here，They are not to judge，They are to help and liberate people，And so as Buddhists，we welcome with all our hearts，The coming of Buddhas and pusas。
所以，以佛教徒来讲呢，我们最欢迎的、最喜欢的就是佛菩萨再来，佛菩萨来。
And the worst thing that we fear is，Conversely that Buddhas and pusas would not come。
我们最害怕的就是佛菩萨不来。
But for Christiansthey，they are just the opposite。
但是基督徒正好是相反。
they are very afraid of the second coming。he second coming这是一个专有名词。And this refers to the coming of Jesus，Which is the end of the world，And at that time，he comes to make judgement of everybody。
那对基督徒来讲最害怕的就是the second coming，就是「二度来临」，「二度再临」那就是表示世界末日，那耶稣再来了，就是要审判一切人。
but the role of a judge or to perform judgement in Buddhism，is not the job or duty of the Buddha or pusas，but rather the King Yama，which is half ghost and half god。
以佛法来讲呢，这个会审判人的人呢，不是佛或菩萨，审判人的，审判众生的是阎罗王。
 所以，in this Way，Jesus Becomes King Yama，From the standpoint of Buddhism。
所以，以佛法的角度来看呢，耶稣再来的时候，他就扮演阎罗王的角色来审判一切。
So，it's very ironical，and what is King Yama？He is the ruler of the underworld，but he is also a low-Level god。
这个什么是阎罗王呢？阎罗王是地狱主啊，但是同时他也是很低阶层的神，这样，ok。King Yama，梵文是yamaya，阎魔王或是阎罗王。
So you can see，Buddhism and Christianity almost run parallel，They never touch each other，It goes，one of it goes by terror，the other goes by compassion。
所以你从这里来分析就知道，这个佛教跟基督教，正好是平行的两条直线，而且永不交接。为什么？因为佛教跟基督教，一个是用 terror 恐怖，所以我们现在讲这个恐怖主义，那就是Terror。
So Christianity is a kind of terrorism，because it terrifies people。
所以这个基督教可以说是一种恐怖主义，因为它令众生恐惧。terror 恐怖，terrorize动词，令人恐怖，terrorism 恐怖主义。Ok。
 So，God's Wrath，God's Justice，God's judgment And punishment，Hence，it is small wonder that hitherto fore，the cardinal virtue of a good Christian，would be his fear of god，With unquestioning faith。
因此呢，毫不令人惊讶的是，到现在为止呢，这个一个所谓的好的基督徒，他最重要的德性，「基德」啊，Cardinal virtual，「基德」就是基本德性了啦。基本德性，这个是柏拉图，还有亚里斯多德他们提出来的，有四基德。那这个基督教也沿用了，那基督徒的最基本的德性是什么？ fear of god，怕神，怕神，我们佛教徒通常，或是一般人，不怕神，只怕鬼，对不对？但是，基督徒很可怜，几千年来都怕神，他们反而不太怕鬼，反而怕神，好。
An unquestioning Faith，So，the greatest virtue for Christian is the fear of god，aand Unquestioning Faith。
怕神，而且无可置疑的，unquestioning，无可置疑的faith（ 信心）。讲到这里，你对西洋文化以及西洋文学，还有西洋人的信仰，你要了解，你必须要，第一个要住在他们里面，也就是说要住在西洋，然后跟他们交往然后观察， 而且要了解他们，看他们的文学、哲学等等，然后你才能真正了解他们在讲什么。譬如说，他在讲信心faith的时候，他跟我们佛法讲的信心是完全两样。
the Christian faith is totally different from that of Buddhism，In Christianity， faith involves，absolutely involves unquestioning。
它基督教的信心有一个最重要的原则，必须要是不可置疑的，不可置疑。
Which means anything related to God，his words，his writings and his thinking， his doings，you cannot question，you are not supposed to ask questions，about God or anything related to god。
对于西洋人的这个faith 信心来讲，这个信心的意思跟佛法完全不一样，他们包括说，一切只要跟神有关系的东西，关于他的行为、他的言语、他的教敕等等，你都不可以问问题，不可以问问题，你知道吗？也不可以起疑问，你不能心里面有这样的怀疑或是疑问甚，当然你更加不可以去问你的神父或是牧师，你有什么问题，关于神某件某些事情，或是哪些圣徒某些某些事情，或是这个圣经里面有哪一些话，为什么这样说？你觉得好像没什么道理，你不能说，你不能问。
 So，concerning anything belonging to God，you cannot even have doubts，or raise doubts in your Mind，and even pose the questions to your Father，or to the clerics，missionaries。
所以对于神父、教士，你都不能问这些问题。
 If you do，then you are committing a crime of disbelief。
假如你问了问题，表示你不信神。
And this is the greatest sin，the greatest sin that you would ever commit。
所以这个是最大的过错，是 and it is unpardonable， 那个是不可饶恕的
罪恶。所以就这样子。所以你说：「为什么撒旦要反对上帝，跟他起来战争」，你不能问哪，你要知道的话，你就只能来问我了，成观法师了，那你问别人恐怕也不是会很知道啦，对不对？所以，我们佛法的信心跟那个不一样，我们佛法的信心是依于解，然后才能够信，对不对？佛就让你先了解那个道理，然后你才起信。
In Buddhism，It is Just the opposite， When the Buddha wants you to have faith in Buddhism，He teaches you by telling you all about the tenets of Buddhism，And When you Comprehend，你了解了，When you Comprehend the Tenets，and you think It's good and you like it， then you are going to generate faith in your mind，And that's how the way Buddha teaches，So he teaches by teaching，And by explaining，and by introducing，not by forcing，you know？
所以佛教导呢，是用解释、引导，然后令你起信，而不是用压迫的。oK。
not just forcing but coercion胁迫，Christian God teaches by co....intimidation and coercion 胁迫，and there is no choice for you，for anybody。
任何人都没有选项。
The only choice is Christian God。
你唯一的选项，就是基督的神，耶稣的神。
So，in American slang，There is the Hobson's Choice，once there was a person， a cowboy and He deals with horses，And when you want to chooseThe horses，or one horse from it's horses to buy，there is only one choice，The choice is he chooses for you。
在西部里面有一个牛仔叫作Hobson，他是卖马的，那你如果要跟他买马的话，那你可以选择，他有一群马，你可以选择，你可以选择一头或是三头、五头，那这个一头、三头、五头，你可以选择，但是这个选择是他帮你选好的，他选好了，你要就拿，不要就算了，这样子，所以这种没有选择的选择，叫作Hobson's Choice，没有选择的选择。
the choice of no choice，So， you can only take it or leave it。
要就来，不要就算了。所以，你要五头马，他已经帮你选好了。然后你看：「哎，我要五头」，他说：「哎，对，就这五头」，他说：「不要，我往里面选」，他说：不行。take it or leave it，你要就来，不要就算了，反正你不买，别有人会买。
 So，in Christianity the so called unquestioning faith，I would rephrase it as Forced Faith。
 基督教里面所说的不可置疑的信心，好像很棒、很高级，对不对？事实上，是很糟糕的。那我把它重新讲一下，用另外一句话讲，那就是Forced Faith， 强迫的信心，你非信不可，你不信就变成异教徒，异教徒就怎么样，你知道吗？异教徒就该杀。所以从基督教就开始，不是回教才这样子，回教是继承他的精神，oK？所以西方接受了犹太人的基督教以后，然后（基督）就是唯一的真神，你只能信他，你不跟我一样信的话，你就是异教徒，异教徒就是该杀，我杀了你就是替天行道。
So，if you are atheist or non-believer，of Christianity，then I have the duty or obligation to exterminate you，To kill you，And even in killing You，I'm performing the duty，the holy duty，as a Christian and I'm performing the Justice of God。
所以，我就在执行上帝的正义，毁灭异教徒，毁灭不信者，毁灭异端邪说，所以我在执行上帝的正义。
 So，The Muslims take over this belief，and continue with it And even，with a vengeance，更加强with a vengeance，雷厉风行，with a vengeance，所以the Muslims carries on this belief，and performs it with a vengeance，雷厉风行，and this kind of performing the justice of god or Allah，is called Jihad，Jihad 就是「圣战」。
the Holy War，So，this Holy War has been led byMuhammad。
穆罕默德Muhammad，穆罕默德就亲自带兵，当将军哪，带兵，到处征战、杀伐，统一了阿拉伯半岛，然后在往上，统一了两河流域、肥沃越湾，然后再往东，到波斯、印度，往西到这个希腊，乃至于到达西班牙，罗马尼亚那边全部整个都被他们统治，就是靠着阿拉的一把宝剑，揭起圣战，ok？所以，那这个圣战一直到现在都没完，然后，这个耶回之战呐，以自从西元六百多年，也就是我们唐朝的时候，穆罕默德出世，唐朝初年开始，唐初，一直到现在，西元就算 600 年，这样多少年了？ 一千五百多年，一千五百多年来耶回征战不断。所以，都是为了什么？这很奇怪，都是信同一个神，但是互相说是异端邪说，然后都要把对方给毁灭，这样子。所以基督徒要战争的时候，然后也都有随军牧师，随军牧师就给他们祈祷，祈祷说：「让上帝帮助我们，消灭我们的敌」人，然后 in the name of god，「以上帝之名」。同样的，这个回教徒就说：「以阿拉之名」， in the name of Aiiah，都是有随军牧师为他们祈祷战争胜利，消灭敌人。
So，both in Christianity，in Muslims，the same，They have a missionary in the army， and before they go to the war，And they will be Led by the missionary，or Clergy to pray to God for them，to eliminate their enemies，in the name of god，And it is the same with Muslims，Pray to Allah：「make us be able to exterminate all our foes in the name of Allah」，So，these are two brother，or brethren religions。
兄弟宗教，他们是兄弟。
But these two brothers like to kill each other。
但是这两个兄弟喜欢杀死对方。
So，throughout history，From the very beginning of Christianity and Muslims，There were Killings，slaughters，wars，But throughout the History of Buddhism，There is not one war，not even，not one battle，among Buddhists or with Buddhists against other religions，So，Buddhists never fight，never kill，Why could it be so？Because Buddha never kills，never fight，And why would other，Religions be so？ Because both their Gods or their religious leaders fight and kill，from the very beginning， even their God kills and kills wholesale。
所以，这个耶回两个宗教呢，他们的历史从一开始就杀戮、战争，那不要说是他们杀戮、战争，他们的领导者就杀戮，带领战争，然后战争、杀戮，杀人盈城，杀人盈野，然后毁灭人的国家，然后把人变成奴隶，然后毁灭他的国家、统治他的国家，那奴役他的国家，乃至于蹂躏，还有，征敛它的国家，都是这样子。那不要说他们的领导者，以及他们基督徒本身，甚至于就是说，后来的帝国主义者也都是承袭这样子的传统，基督教、回教的传统。那，甚至于他们的神，都是杀戮的、战争的，基督教《旧约》里面，这个耶和华跟撒旦战争嘛，对不对？他为什么会跟撒旦战争？因为撒旦起来抗暴嘛，抗暴他的专制，这样子。
 So，it is totally different from Buddhism，So，I would say if Buddhism can prevail，throughout the world，then the world will be a more peaceful place，and people will be happier。
所以我说，如果佛教能够遍及世界，那么这个世界就会比较和平，而人会比较快乐。

Why is Buddhism the Best？
「为什么佛教最棒？」
